Your profile information. You provide us with information when you register on the Platform, including your username, password, date of birth (when applicable), email address, and/or phone number, information you disclose in your user profile, and your profile picture or video.
Messages. We collect information you provide when you compose, send, or receive messages through the Platform’s messaging features. This includes messages you send or receive through our chat function when communicating with retail sellers on your behalf and when using the virtual assistant to make purchases through the Platform. This information includes message content and details about messages, such as the time a message was sent, received, or read and the participants in the message. Please note that messages you choose to send to other Platform users may be accessed by those users, and we are not responsible for how those users use or share the messages.
We may access content, including text, images, and videos, found in your device’s cache with your permission. For example, if you choose to share content with a third-party platform or choose to paste content from the cache into the Platform, we access information stored in the cache to fulfill your request.
Purchase information. When you make purchases or payments on or through the Platform, including when you buy TikTok Points or purchase goods through our shopping features, we collect transaction and payment information, such as payment card information, invoices, shipping details, contact information, and items you’ve purchased.
Your phone contacts and social media contacts. If you choose to sync your phone contacts, we will access and collect information such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses, matching that information with current Platform users. If you choose to share your social media contacts, we will collect your public profile information as well as the names and profiles of those in your social media contacts.
Proof of your identity or age. Occasionally, we may ask you to provide proof of identity or age to use certain features, such as going live, verified accounts, or when you sign up for a Pro Account, ensuring you are of the required age to use the Platform or in cases where you are required to verify.
Information in letters you send to us, including when you contact us for support or feedback.
Information through surveys, research, promotions, contests, marketing campaigns, challenges, competitions, or events conducted or sponsored by us that you participate in.

Automatically Collected Information
Cookie. We and our service providers, as well as our business partners, use Cookie and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, flash Cookie, etc.) (“Cookie”) to automatically collect information, measure, and analyze how you use the Platform. This includes the pages you frequently visit and how you interact with content, enhancing your experience on the Platform, improving the Platform, providing you with advertisements, and measuring the effectiveness of other advertisements and content.
